The challenge
Marketing wanted photoreal product imagery, but pre-rendering every permutation was impossible (millions of combinations) and shipping huge assets would tank load times.
The approach
We authored a single optimized GLTF with swappable PBR materials, wrote custom GLSL for the anodized finishes, and used progressive loading + draco compression so the scene was interactive in under two seconds.
The outcome
The configurator became the highest-converting page on the site, lifting add-to-cart by 38% and cutting returns thanks to accurate previews.
